HEY, I’M SAM

Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to be involved in every sport - especially the ones girls ‘weren’t supposed to’ play. Athletics, football, netball, rugby, cricket… you name it, I was there. But gymnastics was the one that stuck. From the age of 6, I was competing all over the world, and for nearly 20 years, it was my whole life.

Then adulthood hit. I couldn’t compete anymore and I really struggled mentally.

I’d never stepped foot in a gym (I couldn’t think of anything worse) until I ended up in a marketing job for a personal training brand. Turns out, all I needed was someone to show me the what and the how, and I fell in love with weight training.

A few years into lifting and sharing my journey, I realised just how many women were missing out on the benefits of strength training. Not because they didn’t want to do it, but because no one had shown them how. That lit a fire in me. I knew I wanted to be that person.

I’ve now been coaching for 9 years, helping hundreds of women shift their focus from how their body looks to what it can do. I want to be strong, powerful, and athletic for as long as possible but I also want a life outside the gym. That’s exactly what I teach the women I coach: how to get strong AF without training taking over your life.

Consider me your new favourite strength coach who loves to do sh*t but also loves a coffee, a cuddle with my cat and multiple re-watches of ‘New Girl’. The ‘Strong Potato’, if you will. Loves lifting. Loves naps. Knows you’re capable of more and wants to help you make it happen.
